my mom did this sign language solo/dance thing at church today, a song played and she signed it, really cool... while this was going on I really realized how cool unconventional worship is... in this case sign language as a form of singing, it is singing, its an actual language, one my mom is fluent in, but since "music" is a concept for hearing people deaf "music" is more like dance... while this was going on I was listening to the music behind the singer on the track that was playing... there was some tabla drumming (i think, i could be wrong on this), the thing about tabla drumming is that it is almost a language, in certain areas of India kids begin tabla drumming before they really start speaking... it very much a musical language... anyways point is: we need to think beyond the spoken languages when it comes to worship, while not everyone is bilingual in spoken tongues, i think everyone deep down has another form of communication that to them is a language, to me it is shape and color, to others it can be music, others dance, and even others it can be something they see in science... I don't really know... I guess what I'm really trying to say is that anything doen to glorify God is worship, people often get caught up in what is worship, I think as long as your heart in in worship what you are doing becomes worship
(I don't know how well those thoughts all flow together but I think you'll get the gist of what I'm trying to say)
