heroes

so i was having a conversation with my sister jasmine a few month ago about who my heroes are, people who i know and admire for what they have done with their lives

and so i have thought about it and come up with my top 3 heroes (in no particular order)

my grandma, most excellent friend chris and clambo

my grandma because of her courage and absolute dedication to her calling, i mean sure my grandpa was brave going to africa as a missionary, but my grandma really amazes me. This was back when africa was still kinda the dark continent, they went into the bush, lived in a tent, she had 2 children there (after several failed attempts), had to eal with issues like rats chewing the tops off of the baby bottles and giant snakes in the well house, plush she was a woman in a male dominated society, and so i give props to my grandma

chris because i think what hes doing with his life is amazing. despite the very unstructured nature of what he has been doing at times i think it is amazing that he has lived as a full time volunteer giving to others, that takes guts. also just from other conversations we have had i just really respect him seeing where he has been and where he is going

and clambo well ehs just awesome and there isn't really anyway for me to describe all the reasons i admire him within a blog entry so i'm just not going to try (and yes i left out all the capitals and typos just for you)
